Generic AI advice treats construction as one industry. Anyone who has run a site knows it is not. What drains a firm's capacity depends on its contract form, its clients, its position in the supply chain and the regulations that bite hardest on its work.
A main contractor carries Principal Contractor duties under CDM 2015 and spends its days coordinating other people's documents. A groundworks firm is usually on the receiving end of those demands, filling in a different prequalification form for every main contractor. A civil engineering contractor on an NEC4 scheme lives and dies by its early warnings and compensation events. A highways contractor reports shift by shift. An M&E contractor faces a mountain of test sheets and certificates at exactly the point the programme is tightest.

Our team's background is UK civil engineering delivery, up to project-director level, on national highways and smart motorways, major viaducts, rail and defence infrastructure.
Selected schemes the team has delivered on include the TfL London Highways Alliance Contract, M5 and M27 motorway schemes, a major Thames river crossing, national defence infrastructure frameworks, Coventry Station Underpass and Birmingham flood defence, working with contractors including Morgan Sindall, VolkerFitzpatrick, GRAHAM, John Sisk and Ringway Jacobs. We pair that with experience building live AI and commercial systems for established businesses.
